ColorJack
In my never ending quest to get better at choosing colours for websites I have found another website that I think offers me help. Is is called Sphere by Colorjack and I have already found a use for it on a new site I have been working on this week.
The tool itself is very simple to use. Just click on the colour sphere and drag your mouse around until you find a colour combination that you like. There is more to it than that but to get started that is all you need to know. There are many other options that you can choose from the drop down menus. It is lots of fun to experiment with the different options.
Once you find a colour combintation you like you can download it for Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. They also offer options to save it as Sphere and Studio options, but to be honest I never tried those.

thanks for the tip! My friend and I are in the process of redesigning the tutorial site that we're working on, but we don't really know where to start. It looks like the first two posts on your page at this time are relevant to our project! Do you have any advice/ground rules for newbies trying to design their own site from scratch? We understand its a lot of work, but maybe you can give us some ideas to get started.

No problem. Hope you find those tools useful. Advice...let me think about that a little and I'll try to post it next week.
