Find that Font Name
A tool I have been using lately is What the Font?. You provide it an image of a font and it tells you what font it is. I have found it to be very handing when I get a redesign job come in and I just can’t figure out what font was used to make the logo, or button or some graphical element on the original site that the website own has said they really like and want to keep.
So next time you just have to find out what that font is, check out “What the Font?” and hopefully you will get your answer so you can look great for your client or add that special font to your own website.

They are a great resource for this, and they also have a forum where you can upload a file and someone will find the font for you. FYI, the search for What the Font only returns fonts that are sold (or represented in some way) on myfonts.com. That's why the forum is vital, as not all foundries are on myfonts.com.

That is a great tip! I have not used their forum, but I will have to check it out. I recently just needed to find a font name and the tool found it perfectly.
