UPrinting Contest
Since I changed my operating name from LGR Computer Enterprises to LGR Internet Solutions I have been meaning to get some new business cards made up. Although I do not use them very often it is always nice to have some for that occasion when I have been talking with someone about a website and they ask for a business card. At some point I must have checked out a contest for free business cards being sponsored by UPrinting and left a comment in hopes of winning some. Well that comment has paid off, even though I did not win that contest UPrinting has offered to sponsor a contest here. You can win either free business card printing or a canvas print.

I have often thought about business cards, but I was never sure what my business is. After dissolving Epiblogger and semi-deciding to not do freelance work (unless I'm really interested) I have come to the place where I am going to be a personal blogger and devote my extra time to that pursuit. Maybe I'll be the next Dooce? It could happen. In any case, I think it would be a riot to hand out cards with a "Personal Blogger" title on it.

Personal business cards are great way to let people know all the social networks you belong to, your blogs and other info like phone and address. And if they are funny they are a great conversation starter.

I have been putting off getting business cards, but I could really use some. I would give them out to people who ask what it is I do, which question I get a lot. Give to people inquiring if I would be interested in buying their books. And of course, send them out to customers with their book orders.

I've got a pretty good supply of business cards, but I think that canvas print might be nice for a family picture. It might also be neat to have personal cards for the family, kind of like the old "calling cards" in Victorian times.
