Webmaster Blog Inspiration

Inspiration Bit has a group blogging project underway asking what is the source of your inspiration. The topic has been brewing in the back of my mind about what is my inspiration for this webmaster blog.

The answer to what is my inspiration for creating and maintaining this blog is to help others with their websites and blogs. I have learned a great deal in the last thirteen years of working on the Internet and I want to pass some of that knowledge on to others to help them with their websites and blogs. There are so many little things that people can do to improve their websites to make them more user friendly, more search engine friendly, easier to manage and to give people the tools to make their webmaster tasks easier. I also hope that I can learn from the comments that are left to make my webmaster tasks easier.

I don’t want to sound egotistical, I certainly don’t know everything there is about information architecture, web design, programming or web marketing and I don’t know anyone who does know it all, but I do know from experience what has worked for me and what has not worked. One of the great things about working on the Internet is the need to constantly be upgrading ones skills. There is always something new to learn and master.

In short my inspiration is to become better at what I do and to help others to become better webmasters. By sharing our ideas and knowledge we can create websites that will better meet our goals, whatever they might be.
